FARO supports using your own router if it supports VLAN tagging and DHCP on the WAN interface.
Typical settings
- WAN connection type: DHCP / dynamic IP.
- VLAN ID: 10.
- Connect the router WAN port to port 1 on the ONT.
Details from your welcome email
Your welcome email may include connection details such as VLAN ID, DHCP, IP information, gateway and DNS servers. Most of these are allocated automatically by DHCP.
Already online?
Sometimes the switchover happens slightly earlier than expected. If your router is already online with the FARO connection, you are good to go.
