Data restoration guidance describes how backups and restore requests should be handled.
Before requesting a restore
- Identify the affected system or dataset.
- Provide the approximate time before the issue occurred.
- Explain whether a full restore or selected file/data restore is needed.
- Confirm whether the current data should be preserved before restore.
Important
A restore can overwrite current data. BTIT may ask for written confirmation before proceeding with high-impact restoration work.
