Identity management describes how BTIT protects user accounts, authentication methods and identity-related data.
Good practice
- Use named accounts rather than shared accounts wherever possible.
- Use multi-factor authentication for important systems.
- Remove or disable access when people leave or change roles.
- Report suspected account compromise promptly.
What to include in a request
For identity-related support, include the affected account, system name, error messages, time of the issue and whether access is blocked or only partially affected.
